    Instructions

    Preparing the Lamb Patties

    1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped fresh parsley, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.Tip: Avoid over-mixing to keep the patties tender.
    2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4-inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

    Cooking the Lamb Patties

    1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    2. Place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium doneness.Tip: If you prefer, you can also grill the patties over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.

    Assembling the Burgers

    1. Toast the burger buns in the skillet, on the grill, or in a toaster until lightly browned.
    2. Spread tzatziki sauce or yogurt sauce on the bottom bun.
    3. Place the cooked lamb patty on the bun.
    4. Top with lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, sliced red onions, crumbled feta cheese, and sliced cucumber.
    5. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.

    Tips and Tricks

    Adding Extra Flavor

For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of ground cinnamon or ground sumac to the lamb patty mixture for a Mediterranean twist.

    Using Different Toppings

Feel free to customize your lamb burgers with additional toppings such as olives, roasted red peppers, or arugula for added flavor and texture.

    Making Ahead

You can prepare the lamb patties ahead of time and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours before cooking. This can help the flavors to develop and make meal prep easier.
