    Ingredients

    Pork Chops

    • 4 boneless pork chops, about 1-inch thick
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
    • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

    Serving

    • Mashed cauliflower
    • Roasted Brussels sprouts
    • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

    Instructions

    Preparing the Pork Chops

    1. Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper on both sides.
    2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
    3. Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

    Making the Balsamic Glaze

    1. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried rosemary.
    2. Stir to combine and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze has thickened slightly.

    Finishing the Pork Chops

    1. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the balsamic glaze over them.
    2. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, turning the pork chops to coat them evenly with the glaze.
    3. Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.

    Serving the Pork Chops

    1. Serve the balsamic glazed pork chops with mashed cauliflower and roasted Brussels sprouts.
    2. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for an extra burst of flavor.

    Tips and Tricks

    Checking Doneness

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the pork chops are cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.

    Customizing the Glaze

Feel free to customize your balsamic glaze with additional ingredients such as Dijon mustard or a splash of soy sauce (gluten-free) for added depth of flavor.

    Making Ahead

You can prepare the balsamic glaze ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before using.

    Freezing Instructions

Pork chops can be frozen. Allow them to cool completely, then wrap tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and reheat before serving.
