    Instructions

    Preparing the Turkey Filling

    1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent and the garlic is fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
    3. Add the ground turkey to the skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
    4. Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes until the spices are fragrant.
    5. Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth or water, and lime juice to the skillet. Stir to combine.
    6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly.
    7. Stir in the chopped cilantro. Remove from heat.

    Taco Assembly

    1. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat or wrap them in foil and heat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 5-10 minutes.Tip: For a softer tortilla, microwave them wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20-30 seconds.
    2. Spoon the turkey filling onto each tortilla.
    3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sliced avocado or guacamole, sour cream, and salsa.
    4. Serve with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
